From San Antonio to Iowa: The BabyMexico210 Story

Update (Oct 2026): I qualified for the Cleveland finals but won't be able to make the trip. The rest of the story still stands.

From San Antonio to Iowa: The BabyMexico210 Story

I'm Zach. I go by BabyMexico210. I'm from San Antonio, Texas, and I'm based in Iowa now.

I grew up on Southern rap. Nobody handed me anything — no studio, no manager, no plan. I figured it out myself and built everything from the ground up.

A lot of people hear "Iowa rapper" and laugh. That's fine. Iowa gave me space to work without the industry noise. Just me, a mic, and something to prove.

The Win That Started It

In 2026 I won the Southwest AR Showcase, hosted by Big Heff and Views in Motion. That win took me to SXSW in Austin, and from there I advanced to the finals in Cleveland.

Big Heff and Views in Motion co-signed me as the "King of Iowa City." I didn't give myself that title. They did.

The Co-Signs

Ace Hood. Big Heff. Views in Motion. DJ Tone Da Boss. T1 Entertainment. Makin' It Mag. Those are real co-signs from people who know what they're looking at.

Why 210?

210 is the San Antonio area code. That's home. I rep Mt. Pleasant, Iowa now, but 210 is where I'm from and it's in everything I do — the name, the brand, the music, the merch.

I started 210 Productions because I watched too many talented artists get taken advantage of or just fall off. I learned the independent game the hard way. Now I help other artists skip the painful parts. Studio time, engineering, cover art, merch, consultation — everything an independent artist needs in one place.

What's Next

New music. More shows. The merch line is live at babymexico.com.

I'm just an Iowa rapper with co-signs, a company, and a plan. Stay tuned.
